The Failed State of Ukraine: Join Most of It to Russia

radabusinessasusualThe recent display of Third World-style political immaturity in the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament) when Oleg Barna, a deputy from President Petro Poroshenko’s eponymously-named Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB), assaulted Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk by grabbing him by his genitals and neck, pulling him away from the dais, and shuffling him off the stage displayed for the world to witness the utterly failed state of Ukraine. Yatsenyuk, the favorite Ukrainian leader of the foul-mouthed Assistant U.S. Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland, responded to the incident by calling the Poroshenko Bloc deputies “morons”.
This slapstick form of parliamentary governance came a few days after U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, whose family has a personal financial stake in the collapsing Ukrainian economy, praised Ukraine’s “democracy”.

It is clear that then-U.S. President George H. W. Bush was correct when, on August 1, 1991, in a speech delivered before the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev, a few months before Ukrainians voted to secede from the Soviet Union, warned the emergent state against “suicidal nationalism”. Warning the Ukrainians to avoid the fate of Yugoslavia, Bush said, “Americans will not support those who seek independence in order to replace a far-off tyranny with a local despotism. They will not aid those who promote a suicidal nationalism based upon ethnic hatred”.
Bush’s son, George W. Bush, ignored the advice of his father when, in 2004, the neoconservative cabal in the Bush administration engineered Ukraine’s first “themed” coup, the “Orange Revolution”. Viktor Yanukovych, whose policy was more aligned with that of Moscow, won the presidential election. However, George Soros’s minions, assisted by Central Intelligence Agency operatives, engineered large street demonstrations, resulting in the pro-U.S. and pro-NATO Viktor Yushchenko, sidelining Yanukovych in becoming president.
Lightning struck twice in 2014 when Yanukovych, who won the presidency in 2010 in an election deemed free and fair by many international observers, was ousted again after another massive Soros-, U.S. State Department-, and CIA-engineered street rebellion, which was branded the “Euromaidan” uprising. Poroshenko, the multi-millionaire owner of a chocolate empire, became president. Nuland admitted that the U.S. budgeted $5 billion to overthrow the government of Ukraine in a 2013 speech to the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.
In addition to the senior Bush advising Ukraine to stick with Russia in the then-Soviet Union, American entertainer Bob Hope told a wartime radio audience in 1943, “This is Bob ‘Command Performance’ Hope telling each Nazi that’s in Russia today that, ‘Crimea doesn’t pay.’” Hope’s comments in 1943 are just as relevant today in Ukraine, where avowed Nazis run national and regional institutions of government and support the crime of sabotage, including a terrorist attack on power line pylons carrying electricity to Crimea – transformed into an autonomous republic of the Russian Federation by popular referendum — against Crimea and the Russian-speaking peoples of the eastern Donbas region and Odessa. For the Nazis currently in power in Kiev and other Ukrainian regions, Hope was correct: “Crimea doesn’t pay”. The peninsula was always Russian and only became part of Ukraine when Soviet Communist Party leader Nikita Khrushchev presented it to Ukraine as a “gift”. The people and land of Crimea were not some sort of chattel to be bargained away by the Soviet successor to Joseph Stalin.
Ukraine, the cradle of Kievan Rus (land of the Rus), the forbearers of modern Russia, is not only a failed state but a dangerously failed one. Today, Ukraine is a supplier of arms and mercenaries for the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the Middle East and North Africa. Ukraine is a giant kleptocracy where gangster oligarchs like billionaire and Biden family employer Igor Kolomoisky, run criminal enterprises and recruit neo-Nazi militias, some armed with advanced weaponry.
The neocons and their Zionist allies have essentially turned Ukraine into a large vassal state of the European Union, NATO, and the central banks of Europe to wage war against Russia. Ukraine has, by its ceding of its independence to the European Central Bank, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund, abrogated any right to nationhood. There is but one suggestion for gangster-, Nazi-, and neocon-ridden Ukraine and that is the incorporation of the Russian-speaking provinces of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Zaporozhye, and Nikolaev as autonomous republics or regions of the Russian Federation, thus joining Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The Poroshenko-appointed governor of Odessa, the wanted criminal and ex-president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, should be quickly returned to Georgia to stand trial for his many crimes against that nation.
Other provinces of Ukraine that figure prominently in Russian history should also be incorporated into the Russian Federation as autonomous republics, including Poltava, Sumy (the home of the Anton Chekhov Museum), Kirovograd, Rovno, and the provinces of the Kievan Rus: Kiev, Cherkassy, and Khemelnitsky (the latter two, ancient homelands of the Russophile Cossacks), as well as Zhytomir, Volynia, and Vinnytsia. The Transcarpathian Rusyn, or “Rus” who were part of the ancient Kievan Rus and who currently live in the Zakarpattia oblast of Ukraine, should be granted autonomous republic status within the Russian Federation, along with the Russian-speaking people of the Transnistrian Republic, originally formed from the Republic of Moldova. The Rusyns (or Ruthenians) and the Transnistrian Russians are closer to mother Russia than to the Ukrainians or Moldovan Romanians, respectively. It is this type of “nation building,” creating sensible order from chaos, not the irresponsible and hasty “nation building” that saw the creation of Kosovo, that should be employed to bring peace to southeastern Europe.
The extreme right-wing nationalist Ukrainian region surrounding Lvov, the historic Galicia, which also includes Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk (which should have autonomous status as ‘Stanislau’), and Chernivtsi, should be granted provisional independence as ‘Galicia’ or ‘Western Ukraine’. However, to ensure the rights of minorities like Poles, Slovaks, Hungarians, and other ethnic groups, Western Ukraine/Galicia should answer primarily to the Visegrad Four (V4) of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland to ensure prevent it from becoming a center for ethnic cleansing, international terrorism, arms smuggling, and money laundering.
There is no valid reason why a state that authorizes veterans’ benefits for wartime Nazi personnel of two arms of the Nazi Gestapo, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), should be accepted as a member of the United Nations, host servicemen from the same Allied nations that defeated the German Nazis during World War II, and threatens Russian-speaking populations of the Donbas and Odessa regions of Ukraine. A nation that worships wartime pro-Nazi Ukrainian nationalist leader Stepan Bandera while tearing down statues honoring those who fought Nazism does not deserve a place among the viable nation states of the 21st century.
It is much more proper that such a Nazi-led state be consigned to the trash heap of history, along with such failed Nazi puppet states as the Slovak Republic of Nazi Jozef Tiso, the French Vichy State of Marshal Philippe Petain, the Croatian Nazi state of Ante Pavelic, the Vidkun Quisling regime of Norway, the Russian Nazi puppet government of the Lokot Autonomy in Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, and Polotsk led by Bronislav Kaminski, and the Belarusian Central Rada of Radasłaŭ Astroŭski. The government of Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk, along with their neo-Nazi shock troops and Zionist neocon enablers like Nuland, her husband Robert Kagan, and the U.S. envoy in Kiev Geoffrey Pyatt, has no place in modern Europe. It is a far better option to cleave the Donbas, Odessa, Kherson, and Kievan Rus off from the ersatz Nazi state that ironically finds itself protected by NATO and join it with the Russian Federation.
