I said it might happen. Rush Limbaugh said it won’t. DiGenova, [1] a former U.S. Attorney appointed by President Reagan, says – it better!

We’re talking about an indictment for Hillary Clinton that would be a result of the current FBI investigation into her email server scandal – and that would, by law, be brought by Attorney General Loretta Lynch [3]. This is political drama at its finest. Hillary Clinton is part of a protected class of two; that is, she and her slick husband never pay a price for crimes. Obama doesn’t like her [4], but will be forced to support her or watch Obamacare abolished under a Republican president. But the evidence against Hillary is so vast and so compelling — that Lynch may have to indict her. If not, diGenova says FBI investigators might stage [5] a massive revolt of some sort.

If he’s right, the Democrats’ chickens have come home to roost!
The Dems have put their eggs in the Hillary Clinton basket. They know that Bernie Sanders is a very sick man and is 100% unelectable. Martin O’Malley is nothing more than an asterisk. Vice President Biden is too old, too nutty, and too polarizing. Secretary of State Kerry just made a terrible deal with Iran that virtually nobody likes. Al Gore is a punch line on late-night comedy shows. Excuse the grammar, but: They Got Nothin’. It’s Hillary — or the Republicans win.
So the Dems will circle the wagon.
This late in the game, there is nothing else they can do – and yet…
DiGenova says the Justice Department will not be able to ignore Hillary’s crimes:
“It’s going to be a very complex matter for the department of Justice, but they’re not going to be able to walk away from it. They are now at over 1,200 classified emails. And, that’s just for the ones we know about from the State Department. That does not include the ones that the FBI is, in fact, recovering from her hard drives.”
This last sentence is an allusion to what the FBI may be doing. In all likelihood, they have IT specialists working to pull data from hard drives that Hillary tried to wipe – and not with a cloth.
Critical mass in the investigation.
DiGenova says a climax is coming — and within a time period of about two months– as he told Laura Ingraham on her radio show:
“They have reached a critical mass in their investigation of the Secretary and all of her senior staff.”
He notes that Clinton herself has not yet been interviewed and that might explain why the investigation is taking so long – as is an indictment. Clinton uses her special privilege to make herself unavailable to the extent she can. But diGenova says she WILL be interviewed by the Bureau.
Speaking of the FBI, diGenova says the rank-and-file EXPECT their work to bear fruit.
He talks of the possibility of open revolt within the FBI:
“I believe that the evidence that the FBI is compiling will be so compelling that unless [Lynch] agrees to the charges, there will be a massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an attorney general. It will be like Watergate. It will be unbelievable.”
He goes on to say there will be long-term consequences for the country if she is allowed to go free.
“The evidence against the Clinton staff and the Secretary is so overwhelming at this point that if, in fact, [Lynch] chooses not to charge Hillary, they will never be able to charge another federal employee with the negligent handling of classified information. The intelligence community will not stand for that. They will fight for indictment and they are already in the process of gearing themselves to basically revolt if she refuses to bring charges.”
“She,” of course, is Attorney General Loretta Lynch who has her own legacy to protect. If diGenova is right – and he is a credible source – Lynch’s back is to the wall. If he is right, the FBI has the goods on Hillary. If he is right, the Republicans will walk into the White House in the 2016 election.
