Shatter the humdrum!
Gather with credited folk artists for a concert with sideline PowerPoint delving into songs’ neuro-impact. Participate with the artists in this exploration -
Why do some folk songs live forever? What are mechanisms that compel songs’ sustaining power? What is “the power of song?” How can a song or melody carry us away? How can a moving speech or the lyrics of a song actually affect our physical brain state? These questions and more will be addressed in a mostly concert setting.

Artists:
Dave Rimelis – award winning, classically trained fiddle player– whose compositions have been played by the Boston Pops http://www.davidrimelis.com/
***********
The Dammers-Desmond Trio – a family with an extensive repertoire of folk, blues and gospel tunes – have been playing rallies and concerts for the past several years. Beautiful harmonies..
******************
Martin Dull - 29 year old singer/songwriter with a style best described as "indie-acoustic." As painter, he holds a Master of Fine Arts from the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture - art is often displayed at gigs. Folks relate to the artist’s exciting new edge. www.MartinDullArt.com
