EU referendum result could face a legal challenge

after ministers were accused of 'skewing' voting by extending registration by TWO DAYS because website crashed

  • Voters had to register before midnight to take part on June 23
  • Some 7.5 million eligible voters are thought to be missing from the system
  • The Government website started showing errors at around 10pm 
  • Ministers now changing law to extend deadline to tomorrow night 
  • But senior Tory says it could open result to judicial review 
  • Vote Leave sources suggested government could be 'skewing' result 
  • Despite the errors a record 525,000 registered to vote yesterday
