
COVID-19 Live Updates: UK PM Johnson Not Heading for National Lockdown Yet, Minister Says
Multiple countries are developing vaccines against COVID-19, with Russia's Sputnik V becoming the world's first registered vaccine against the coronavirus. It is now undergoing the third stage of trials, as thousands of Russians have already been inoculated.
The coronavirus has claimed over 1,085,000 lives worldwide so far, with the number of cases surpassing 38 million, according to Johns Hopkins University. At the moment, the countries with the highest number of infected people are the US (7.85 million), India (7.24 million), and Brazil (over 5.1 million).
