Trump On Joining The Commonwealth

Trump On Joining The Commonwealth: “I Love King Charles. Sounds Good To Me.”

US President Donald Trump is presented with a letter from the King inviting him to make an unprecedented second state visit to the U.K. PA Wire
Britain’s PM, Keir Starmer, a member of the Trilateral Commission, hand-delivered the invitation from King Charles to join the Commonwealth. It just so happens that another Trilateral, Mark Carney, is currently PM in Canada. Didn’t we already fight a war (with muskets and bayonets) to get rid of the British jackboot in the first place? Do feel a Trilateral pincer from both sides of the Atlantic? Just sayin’.⁃ Patrick Wood, Editor.

Nearly 250 years after America declared independence from Great Britain, President Donald Trump suggested he was open to taking a small step back towards the warm embrace of the British monarchy after a media outlet reported that King Charles III intends to extend an offer for the United States to join the Commonwealth of Nations.

The King is reportedly preparing to extend the offer of “associate membership” in the voluntary association of 56 nations, most of which have history as former British colonies. Trump, it seems, is open to the idea.

Writing on his Truth Social platform while sharing an article referencing the unprecedented offer, Trump said: “I Love King Charles. Sounds good to me!”

First reported by the Daily Mail, the offer from Charles III would be formally extended during the planned state visit by Trump to the U.K. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer delivered a hand-written invitation from the King to the U.S. leader during a visit to the White House last month.

A member of the Royal Commonwealth Society told the Mail that the possibility of America making entry into the Commonwealth is “being discussed at the highest levels” as “a wonderful move that would symbolize Britain’s close relationship with the U.S.” – PA Archive

“Donald Trump loves Britain and has great respect for the Royal Family, so we believe he would see the benefits of this. Associate membership could, hopefully, be followed by full membership, making the Commonwealth even more important as a global organization,” the person added.

Having America joining the Commonwealth, even as an associate member, could be a way for Charles to smooth over tensions between Washington, London and Ottawa that have erupted over Trump’s frequently-stated desire to make Canada — a Commonwealth founding member and one of the 15 nations that still counts the King as head of state — the 51st American state rather than the fully independent nation it has been since the 1982 Canadian constitution removed the country’s vestigial legal dependence on the British parliament.

Trump’s rhetoric towards America’s northern neighbor, which which it shares the world’s largest unguarded land border, has inflamed passions among Canadians who’ve taken umbrage at what has amounted to an unprovoked trade war waged by American leaders.

The president has imposed tariffs on many Canadian imports and threatened to raise the import taxes — which are ultimately paid by American consumers — even higher, while claiming that the U.S. trade deficit with Canada amounts to an unfair subsidy of Ottawa by Washington.

If membership is offered and accepted, no longer would America send an ambassador to the Court of St James as it has done since John Adams presented his credentials to King George III in June 1785. Washington’s emissary to Ottawa would no longer be an ambassador, either, and neither would the top diplomats sent by the U.K. or Canada to the U.S. That’s because Commonwealth nations appoint “high commissioners” to represent each other’s interests in their respective capitals.

The 56-member bloc has roots in the post-Second World War era when the U.K. began divesting itself of its massive colonial empire. And Canada, the subject of current tensions with the U.S., was the first member.

Most, but not all, of the current Commonwealth members are former British dominions or colonies.

France Tells Citizens "Leave Iran Immediately"

France Tells Citizens "Leave Iran Immediately"

Hal Turner    March 20, 2025

This morning, the government of France began telling its citizens to "Leave Iran Immediately."

This may have to do with President Trump's letter to the Ayatollah Khamenei, which reportedly told Iran the United States will give them two months to negotiate a new nuclear deal.

Iran is not likely to engage in any negotiations with the US because the last deal it negotiated, the US pulled-out of.  Further, the Iran government publicly stated they will not engage in negotiations under threat or while they are suffering severe economic sanctions.

Trump Unseats Zelensky as Coalition War Leader

Trump Unseats Zelensky as Coalition War Leader

At the root there's nothing here for Russia to celebrate, more danger than salvation

Seeing that the US interruption in material aid to Kiev lasted only a week, which means in practice there wasn’t an actual interruption at all, a question has been raised whether it was all an act. I don’t think so. I think what we saw was Ukraine that was treated incredibly harshly when it made demands on the United States, but then got full backing when it made demands on Russia.

Ukraine attempted to tie its top priority, namely getting the security guarantee from the US, to what is important to Trump (minerals deal, the Trump process), and all hell broke lose. The US literally demonstratively downgraded its participation in the war. (AKA fed Ukraine somewhat less intelligence.) However when Ukraine limited itself to asking for an advantageous cease-fire from Russia it had the full backing of the US, and Witkoff to take the silly proposal to Moscow.

Symbolically I think what happened there was that Trump took over the formal leadership of the US-Ukrainian war coalition. Since Ukraine can’t sustain its war effort without backing from the Empire it is in the unfortunate position of not being the coalition leader in a war it sacrifices the most to. However, Biden and the Democrats preferred to “lead from behind” and outsource this leadership role to Zelensky, not the least because as a native he was the much better spokesman for their common radical grand strategy. Trump however has demoted the Ukrainian, which took two weeks that were as volatile as they were brief.

Trump Bombs Yemen and Threatens Iran

Trump Bombs Yemen and Threatens Iran. Rep. Thomas Massie Says MIC Demands Payment

Houthi rebels in Yemen have attacked over 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones, sinking two vessels and killing four sailors, from November 2023 until January this year. Their leadership described the attacks as aiming to end the Israeli war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The Houthis suspended their retaliation since the ceasefire began. However, after Israel implemented a total blockade of humanitarian relief to citizens of Gaza last week, Houthi leaders threatened to again begin blocking Israel’s Red Sea shipping activities. Trump responded with a barrage of bombs that killed at least 53 people, including women and children. He also threatened to bomb Iranian ships. Ron Paul says the US should leave the Middle east and that Israel’s war on Gaza is not our war.

US Representative Thomas Massie revealed that the military industrial complex (MIC) demands about $50 billion a year from our government, above and beyond what’s necessary to defend our own country. He gave examples of wars that shut down and are replaced with new ones so that the MIC is paid off.

Thomas Massie posted these messages on X:

Regarding US activity in Yemen: I recently said to watch for a new military engagement to compensate for the pull back in Ukraine. The Military Industrial Complex demands about $50 billion a year from our government, above and beyond what’s necessary to defend our own country.

The military industrial complex demands about $50 billion per year in war. As soon as we quit spending $50b per year in Afghanistan, we started spending $50b per year in Ukraine. Watch where the next $50b per year goes when we stop sending it to Ukraine. The MIC is always hungry.

Chris Hedges: Trump’s Christian Fascists and the War on Palestine

Chris Hedges: Trump’s Christian Fascists and the War on Palestine

March 14, 2025

Christian Nationalists who form the bedrock of support for Donald Trump — 80 percent voted for Trump in the last election according to a voter survey by the Associated Press — have mounted a concerted campaign calling on the White House to back Israel’s annexation of the West Bank and Gaza.

This campaign includes visits to Israel by prominent leaders, including Ralph Reed, Tony Perkins and Mario Bramnick, petitioning the White House, lobbying Congress and calls for annexation at Christian conferences, including a resolution of support for Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank adopted at the most recent Conservative Political Action Conference. The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention in Dallas, in March, gathered over 200 signatures from pastors and right-wing religious leaders from across the United States calling for the annexation of “Judea and Samaria” — the purported biblical name for the West Bank —and declaring the two state solution “a failed experiment.”

American Christian Leaders for Israel, which says it represents a network of “over 3,000 organizational leaders from across the nation, including the National Religious Broadcasters,” endorsed the NRB resolution and sent it to Trump. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and five other members of the congressional “Friends of Judea and Samaria Caucus,” sent a letter to Trump asking to “recognize the right of Israel” to declare sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, arguing that it will advance “the Judeo-Christian heritage on which our nation was founded.”

There Are Still Nine Significant Missing Items in the Butler, PA Assassination Attempt

BREAKING HUGE EXCLUSIVE: There Are Still Nine Significant Missing Items in the Butler, PA Assassination Attempt of President Trump

GIRALDI: Saying Goodbye to Netanyahu is Long Overdue

GIRALDI: Saying Goodbye to Netanyahu is Long Overdue

'In my humble opinion Israel should be treated as an enemy or at a minimum as a state that is dangerous to have any association with'

Gerald Celente
March 12, 2025

Donald Trump would likely have lost in 2024 if not for the backing of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Zionist donors.

BY PHILIP GIRALDI

President Donald Trump’s address to Congress and the nation on Tuesday night was remarkably devoid of any mention of why the United States continues to both enable and be complicit in the Ukrainian conflict with Russia as well as with the war crimes that are being committed by the state of Israel against nearly all its neighbors on a daily basis.

The most recent abomination committed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his band of thugs is the cutting off of food, medicine and temporary housing to the Gazans who were bold enough to return to their ruined homes due to a ceasefire negotiated successfully by U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff in January.

There should be serious suspicions about possible hidden “covert actions” undertaken by Israel and its agents. One might cite the assassination of John F. Kennedy just as he was about to force the Israel lobby groups to register while also shutting down Israel’s secret and illegal nuclear weapons program. -Giraldi writes

RITTER ON UKRAINE CEASEFIRE

RITTER ON UKRAINE CEASEFIRE: Trump 'Isn't Serious About Peace'

Russia will reject this ridiculous proposal, the former UN weapons inspector, wrote

Mar 11, 2025

Scott Ritter, the influential former UN weapons inspector, criticized the so-called ceasefire agreement hatched out between the U.S. and Ukraine that was announced today and still needs to be signed off on by Russia.

“I’ve lost faith in the good faith of the Trump negotiating team,” Ritter posted on X. “A 30-day ceasefire would be a boon to Ukraine. A chance to stabilize the frontlines. To strip all tactical and operational advantages Russia has accrued through the blood and sacrifice of their soldiers. And once Ukraine recovers, then to sit at a table where a rejuvenated Ukraine rejects Russia’s conditions for peace. Trump’s team has not negotiated in good faith. And the fact that this proposal is offered after Ukraine carries out a massive strike against Moscow? Russia will reject this ridiculous proposal. And hopefully escalate the violence to such a scale that the US will realize that there needs to be a realistic peace proposal agreed to in writing before any ceasefire takes hold. One that includes the withdrawal of all Ukrainian forces from Constitutional Russia. The Ukrainian troops can leave voluntarily. Or die. Trump isn’t serious about peace. And Ukraine will reap the whirlwind as a result.”
