Azerbaijan Signals It is Be Preparing Its Own Special Operation Against Armenia

More War: Azerbaijan Signals It is Be Preparing Its Own Special Operation Against Armenia

Hal Turner    January 15, 2024

Azerbaijan demands that Armenia "demilitarize, de-nazify, no longer contain Azerbaijan on behalf of foreign (Western) powers, stop obstructing regional trade routes, and allow ethnically cleansed Azeris to return...

This is nothing more than another head-chopper hedgemon ... just like Zionist treachery  -- claiming/whining as if it is a 'victim.'

At present, the border of Armenia goes all the way to Iran and both Armenia and Iran expect it to stay that way.   But Azerbaijan claims a territory called "Nakhchivan" (highlighted in red above) which is southwest of Armenia, and is landlocked to-from Azerbaijan.  In order for anyone in Azerbaijan to get to Nakhchivan, or vice-versa, they must travel briefly through Armenian or Iranian territory.

Azerbaijan wants a "corridor" open for unmolested travel to/from Nakhchivan.  But in order to do that, Armenia would have to give up its border with Iran.  Neither Armenia nor Iran want that.

Earlier in the day, Azeri Ministry of Defence said that the city of Ganja has been attacked by the Armenian forces. Before that, Nagorno-Karabakh, an unrecognised ethnically Armenian republic within Azerbaijan, asserted that several large villages were attacked by the Azeri army, despite the ceasefire brokered by Moscow on 10 October.

The Azeri Prosecutor General's Office stated Sunday that at least five people had died and 28 others were injured as a result of shelling in Ganja, where a rocket destroyed a residential building.

Earlier, Azerbaijan's Emergencies Ministry said at least five dead bodies were recovered from the debris, while 17 more people were injured.

MAJOR: CIA and MI6 behind Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict?

MAJOR: CIA and MI6 behind Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict?

The clash between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been escalating fast. There is a full scale war going on, with both sides using heavy artillery, tanks, and aviation, with confirmed causalities already being in the hundreds, including civilians.

This conflict is beneficial for both Azerbaijani and Armenian elites, in short term, as it allows to distract people from the economic issues (caused by the anti-coronavirus measures with the global recession/depression in the background) and temporary unite them in the face of a perceived threat, but there is also a distinct international dimension, with Turkey outrightly supporting Azerbaijan through its networks (president of France, Emmanuel Macron, among others, has stated that Syrian jihadists are fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh) and Turkish diplomats using highly militaristic rhetoric in relation to Armenia (Turkey should be quiet about anything that has to do with Armenia, given the history between the two in the early 20th century, but that is besides the point).

There are multiple factors at play, but there are a few minor details that analysts do not really pay attention to.
