AUSTIN, TEXAS—Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas criticized Texas’s attempts to stop illegal immigration while praising Vice President Kamala Harris’s role in addressing the “root causes” of the border crisis.
Mayorkas spoke Sept. 6 at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin.
The annual festival hosts a slate of political speakers, newsmakers, and journalists who discuss current events.
Democrats have made no secret that they plan to grant blanket amnesty to tens of millions of illegal immigrants who flooded into the country after President Joe Biden shredded President Trump's sweeping efforts to secure the border - and whose worst elements are committing heinous crimes and taking over apartment complexes in several major Democrat-run cities.

Now, during the SOTU, Biden claimed he is working to stop the overwhelming amount of illegals coming into America when his administration is literally facilitating their entry.

Biden then alleged Republicans are to blame for illegals “killing thousands of people” all over America because they wouldn’t pass the horrendous Democrat border bill that would have allowed even more illegals into the country.
The senile puppet also blamed Donald Trump for reportedly calling GOP politicians and asking them not to vote for the border bill, suggesting Republicans liked the legislature but didn’t want to score Democrats points by passing a good bill.
In reality, the bill was jammed with over $60 billion in foreign aid money to Ukraine and Israel, would have allowed 1.5 million illegals into America every year, and handed out millions of tax dollars to leftist NGOs facilitating the border invasion.

On Friday, a phone call between Israel and Egypt went straight off the rails over Israel's announced intention to invade Rafah. During that call, Israel told Egypt they would be "taking" both sides of the Rafah Border Crossing from Gaza to Egypt. The Egyptians reminded Israel that the southern side of that crossing is Egyptian territory and they cannot send troops to take it. The call went back and forth and finally degenerated when Israel told Egypt, "We took Gaza from you in 1967, we'll take Rafah from you now."
After that call, elements from the Egyptian Army began arriving with Anti-Aircraft missile systems and anti-aircraft artillery. Questions to Egypt about what it was doing were intentionally un-answered. No remarks or explanation to anyone.
Yesterday, Saturday 10 February, Egypt reminded Israel of the Camp David Accords, negotiated by then Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and then Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin at the invitation of then-U.S. President, Jimmy Carter.
According to that Treaty, the Rafah area is "Zone D" of the geography covered by the Treaty, and that zone cannot be occupied by Israeli troops as a condition for terminating the war between Israel and Egypt.
