China Faces Food Shortage As Droughts, Flooding, And Pests Ruin Harvest

Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua recently asked the governors of each province in China to make sure the sown areas of agricultural crops would not shrink and crop yield won’t be reduced this year. At a food security meeting held in Beijing on July 27, he warned that governors would be punished if they failed to uphold the promise, including with dismissals.
And when Chinese leader Xi Jinping visited northeastern Jilin Province on July 22, he told the local government to treat grain production as a priority task. The top officials’ emphasis on food supplies raised questions about whether China is facing a severe food shortage this year.
In early July, the government organ China National Grain and Oils Information Center released its estimates that the corn supply gap in the 2020-2021 fiscal year would be 25 million metric tons—more than double the previous estimated 12 million metric tons.
On Aug. 5, the Center estimated that China would import six million metric tons of wheat in the 12 months from June 2020 to May 2021, which would be the highest amount in the past seven years. The Center said the wheat would likely come from France, Russia, Lithuania, and Kazakhstan.

In late January, Chinese authorities mandated that people stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19, farmers among them. Around March, restrictions eased and most farmers were allowed to go out again. But not long after, extreme weather across large swathes of China led to the destruction of crops. Since early June, heavy rain has befallen the country’s south, center, and east. Meanwhile, parts of the northwest and northeast are suffering from droughts. Pests such as locusts and fall armyworms have also invaded crops. Farmers told The Epoch Times that they suspected that they would lose their harvest this year.

Many economists have been opening the debate about whether it will take a massive food shortage for people to finally stand up to this tyranny, because, according to Mac Slavo in an article on SHTFplan's website, they will not be afraid to use food as a weapon to keep the population trapped in this system, affirming that food shortages will come, and like the health-crisis-related panic, this is a well-crafted plan of control. Slavo poses some questions, wondering if "is this what it’s going to take to get the rest of people to realize they’ve been controlled and enslaved by the very government who said they just want to keep them safe?" He goes on arguing that "safety has always been the rallying cry of tyrants and that is no different now. People all over the world are waking up to what the power-hungry elitists and politicians have done to us for decades, but many are still sleeping. Will it take these orchestrated food shortages to wake them up? Or will they continue down a path of slavery with no hope?" Not only in America, but many other countries are reaching the conclusion that instead of the current pandemic, hunger is what is going to annihilate a substantial amount of the world's population. The world had never faced a hunger emergency like this, and the number of people facing acute hunger could double to 265 million by the end of this year. The scary disruption in the agricultural production and supply routes are already leaving millions worried across the globe. "Logistical problems in planting, harvesting and transporting food will leave poor countries exposed in the coming months, especially those reliant on imports," said Johan Swinnen, director-general of the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington. In places like India, the lockdown is basically an order for laborers to starve. There, the health crisis had sometimes been called an equalizer, because it has sickened both rich and poor citizens, but when it comes to food, the commonality ends. It is poor people, including large segments of poorer nations, who are now going hungry and facing the prospect of starvation. Historically, every time the ones in power have pushed the boundaries too far, expecting to reach a new level of domination, the shot got backfired. When they gradually and silently push their agenda forward to spread their dominance over aspects most people don't bother to hand over, they get the leverage they think it's needed to rule us as compliant sheep. Until they get overly ambitious and tend to bite more than they can chew. In addition to the evident social and economic implications, it is important to notice that typically, after times of forged food shortages, when the industry gets back on its feet, we end up eating less and less real food, and more food-like products. In fact, their attempt to stop farmers production is to debase small producers while letting large food processing facilities with whole hegemony over the products, because with fewer products and larger demands, small farmers won't be able to keep prices as low as big distribution centers will, and eventually, they will go out of business too. There are many possibilities you can choose from and adapt to the space you have at your home. Using the advice of long-time preppers to try to help you to pass through these adversities with less trouble, we gathered some easy gestures you could make to prepare yourself by growing or preserving your own food. First, you can make a small research to figure out what kind of vegetables or fruits you can easily grow in your own yard or balcony. There are many types of seeds you can find online, selecting your preferences and necessities. Another tip is to learn about edible plants, since wild food is essentially free, and the more you pick it, the more it grows. There are many books that can help you to identify these plants and ways in which they can be used for medicinal purposes. If the impeachment does not work this time they will try again, and again any means necessary to end the Presidency of Donald Trump, for they do not want their swamp drained.

On Wednesday I listened to "Democracy Now", and later the Tucker Carlson Show. Each host was interviewing Jill Sellout Stein, but neither asked the key question. The key question for me would have been the following: "Jill, a hand recount of the votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania would probably not be completed by the December 19th deadline for the electoral votes. That would deny Trump the necessary votes to be elected President. That seems to be the Hillary strategy to steal the election, so why would the Green Party candidate shill for Hillary's election. Has Hillary, Bill, the Clinton Campaign, the DNC or others that are connected to the Clinton's approached you, and what were you offered?"

That would have been my question, but then again that is why I only operate in the "Fake News" section of journalism.

How about Hillary's luck with her winning 6 coin tosses? Maybe she should play the horses, blackjack, etc. as they all can be fixed too. In six coin tosses you would have a 1 in 64 chance of winning all six. What that tells me is that the Iowa democrats have more allegiance to The Wicked Witch of the West than they do to their own country.

How about Sen. Cruz? He was not natural born, and there is doubt that his mother was born in the US. He is ineligible to run for President, but hey Obama did it why not him?

As for Rubio he was born in the US, but not of US citizens, so he too is not eligible to run for President. He has quite a few skeletons in his closet, and that is why they like him.

So much for representative government. It is a joke, but it is not funny.

Today one should remember a day of "infamay". Yes today December 7th, 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, as Roosevelt hoped that they would. He made sure that the aircraft carriers were out to sea, and the dinosaur battleships were in port.

There is outrage on the outcome of the Dallas Cowboys versus the Green Bay Packers. Why is their outrage on this total distraction? Fans here belong to one of two tribes that support the circus of the "bread and circus".

It has become a game of less and less interest as commercials, reviews, more reviews, pregame shows of several well paid ex-jocks to tell us what must be done by each team to win. Then after the game the same go over and over the game and why one team won and one lost. The media has more covering a meaningless event than the do covering all of Africa.

It is done to take you mind off the reality of the day. It is the blue pill to keep you from seeing that you are accepting a police state as you are groped and searched when you enter the stadium.

Then there is more money to be made in the betting on the game than in the TV and commercials. So would it be any surprise to you that the games might be fixed? It isn't to me. Have you ever seen the pro football game where one team plays and the other merely shows up? Maybe the team that only showed up knew who the winner would be.

There is also a globalist plan to destroy national sports such as US football, and replace it with soccer. Could this be a step in that direction?

I remember the day well. A Customer Service Representative was promoted to Outside Sales, and he left just before lunch. His new job was to begin on the following Monday. He came back in at about an hour or two later. His face was white as a ghosts. He took a deep breath and said "President Kennedy has been killed."

It was a quiet at the bus stop in Newark that night, and the bus was dead silent. Just like today people are silent on the coup d'etat that happened that day in Dallas. It angers me that people can forget that at that day and time on the 11th month and the 22nd day our country was changed forever, and not for the better.

Many still believe that it is us versus them, and Democrat versus Republican when there is not a dime's worth of difference. The US and the world are run by a SSG (Secret Shadow Government).
