LAVROV: Americans Helped Ukraine Carry Out ATACMS Strike on Russia

Bullshit Biden approved these strikes after his Democrats suffered a crushing defeat at the polls

Russia’s top diplomat Sergey Lavrov addressed reporters in Brazil.

Ukraine fired about six U.S.-made ATACMS on Russia’s Bryansk region in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting Moscow’s top diplomat to condemn the attack and say it is evidence that the U.S. intends to escalate the conflict.

ALEX SOROS: LONG-RANGE-MISSILE STRIKE APPROVAL IS ‘GREAT NEWS’

OUT WITH A BANG

Sergey Lavrov, who was in Brazil at the time, noted that these weapons are highly sophisticated and would require Americans to operate, which would mean Washington is providing Ukraine with more than just weapons and intelligence. It would mean its forces are playing an active role in the war.

“Without the Americans, it’s not possible to use them,” he told reporters at the G-20 in Rio de Janeiro.

The decision by Ukraine to launch these missiles, which were reportedly intercepted, came less than two days after the Biden administration gave Kyiv the approval to fire the long-range weapons provided by Washington to strike targets deep inside Russia.

(The Associated Press, citing a U.S. official, reported that Ukraine fired “about eight of the missiles, and just two were intercepted by the Russians.”)

“The official said that the U.S. was still assessing battle damage, but that the missiles struck an ammunition supply location in Karachev, a city of about 18,000 people in Russia’s Bryansk region. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence assessments.”

Analysts have noted that the ATACMS missile range is about 150 miles, which does not threaten Moscow or St. Petersburg.

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, posted on X after the strike that “Russia's new nuclear doctrine means NATO missiles fired against our country could be deemed an attack by the bloc on Russia. Russia could retaliate with WMD against Kiev and key NATO facilities, wherever they're located. That means World War III.”

Last month, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced changes to Moscow’s nuclear doctrine—lowering the threshold for a nuclear response by the Kremlin. Putin announced the changes amid the West’s increased weapons support for Ukraine and discussions about allowing Kyiv to use Western-provided long-range missiles to hit targets deep inside Russia.

One of the key changes in the doctrine is that Russia will consider an attack by a nonnuclear state with the backing of a nuclear state as a “joint attack on the Russian Federation,” according to The New York Times.

Lavrov told reporters that Western leaders should review the updated doctrine.

He was asked if Tuesday’s strikes could result in Russia responding with a nuclear attack and he said the Kremlin’s position is that “nuclear weapons are meant above all to prevent the outbreak of nuclear war. And that’s precisely how we view this situation.”

Longshoreman's STRIKE Begins Tonight at Midnight; All East Coast and Gulf Coast Ports to Close

Longshoreman's STRIKE Begins Tonight at Midnight; All East Coast and Gulf Coast Ports to Close

Hal Turner     September 30, 2024

A major maritime workers strike is set to begin on Tuesday, and it means a likely HALT of imports and exports of key goods — from cars to food — across the East and Gulf Coasts.

The International Longshoremen's Association, the largest union of maritime workers in the US, announced last week that it was prepared to strike on October 1 if demands in their union contract, primarily higher wages, are not met. On Sunday, the union announced the strike is set to go ahead as planned after contract negotiations stalled.

"United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) refuses to address a half-century of wage subjugation where Ocean Carriers profits skyrocketed from millions to mega-billion dollars, while ILA longshore wages remained flat," the union said in a statement posted to Facebook. "ILA unity remains strong and is growing."

The planned strike would include 85,000 members of the International Longshoremen's Association, as well as "tens of thousands of dockworkers and maritime workers around the world," the union's statement added, striking at all Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports from Maine to Texas.

Dock Worker Strike October 1, 2024 Will Be Devastating

Deadly Israeli strike on aid convoy in Gaza was no accident – and the IDF likely knew EXACTLY who they were targeting

04/07/2024 // Cassie B. /

Israel insists its recent deadly attack on a World Central Kitchen aid convoy in Gaza was nothing more than a tragic accident, but more evidence is emerging that they are not as innocent as they claim.

The April 1 attack killed seven humanitarian aid workers as their vehicles left a warehouse in Gaza. They were providing food aid through the charity, helping to feed starving Gazans as Israel continues to carry out attacks there and cut them off from basic necessities. Disturbing images showed the vehicles completely blown apart by drone missiles.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to play it off as an accident, calling it a “tragic case of our forces unintentionally hitting innocent people,” this characterization immediately came under attack by the World Central Kitchen.

The food charity said that they had been coordinating movements with the IDF, which means they knew exactly where they were. Moreover, their three-vehicle convoy was clearly marked and had the charity’s logo on full display from the roof to ensure it could be identified by air.

Another thing that points to multiple targeted strikes is the fact that each of the three vehicles were hit in succession quickly while moving at a significant distance apart from one another.

A former British Army Major, Chris Lincoln-Jones, shared a similar assessment after reviewing images of the damaged vehicles. He said that the strikes were highly targeted and that the missiles the IDF used were “absolutely, perfectly accurate.”

Moreover, the drone involved is the Elbit Hermes 450, which is considered one of the IDF’s top surveillance, intelligence, reconnaissance and target acquisition vehicles. Boasting infrared and electro-optical cameras, it is capable of capturing high-definition images at all hours of the day and night, so it should have been quite easy for IDF operators to see the World Central Kitchen’s logo on the cars.

In fact, Lincoln-Jones believes that the IDF would “probably even know the names of the people on board” because it had been moving along a pre-approved route.

World Central Kitchen officials believe aid workers were deliberately targeted

Spanish chef Jose Andres, who founded the World Central Kitchen, and the charity’s CEO, Erin Gore, have both been vocal about accusing the IDF of “systematically” and deliberately targeting them.

Andres said: “'This was not just a bad luck situation where 'oops' we dropped the bomb in the wrong place.

“This was over 1.5km, 1.8km, with a very defined humanitarian convoy that had signs in the top, in the roof, a very colourful logo... It's very clear who we are and what we do.”

Gore added that Israeli authorities were fully aware of the route, itinerary and humanitarian mission of the convoy.

IDF is trying to claim incident was a case of mistaken identity

The IDF has since fired a pair of senior officers and reprimanded one of its top commanders following an investigation into the incident. They stated that “those who approved the strike were convinced that they were targeting armed Hamas operatives,” and characterized the attack as “a grave mistake stemming from a serious failure due to a mistaken identification.”

They maintain that the IDF officers involved in the incident “misidentified” an object that was slung over the shoulders of a passenger in the convoy as a weapon; they now believe the object was a bag. When the convoy left the warehouse, an IDF commander “mistakenly assumed that the gunmen were located inside the accompanying vehicles and that these were Hamas terrorists,” according to a report.

They also claim their drones were unable to see the charity’s logo on the vehicles in the darkness of night.

Perhaps most chillingly, they admitted that some of the workers who had been traveling in the first car of the convoy survived the strike on it and fled to the second convoy, but then died when it was targeted as well.

US, UK strikes on Houthis in Yemen: Live updates

US, UK strikes on Houthis in Yemen: Live updates

Blasts have occurred in Sanaa, Hodeidah and other cities, the Iran-backed Shia group said
US, UK strikes on Houthis in Yemen: Live updates

The US and UK began carrying out airstrikes on Houthi militias in Yemen in the early hours of Friday in response to the group targeting shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Washington and London launched their attacks without authorization from the UN Security Council. US President Joe Biden is also facing accusations from American lawmakers that he violated the Constitution as he didn’t ask for permission from Congress for the military operation.

The Houthis, who have pledged to support Gaza amid fighting between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, have launched multiple drones and missiles targeting merchant vessels, as well as warships patrolling the vital waterway since mid-October.

The Houthis are a Shia Islamist militia that rose to power following a wave of protests known as the Arab Spring, which swept the Middle East in the early 2010s.

One of the poorest countries in the region, Yemen has been plagued by an intermittent civil war for nearly a decade. It was further devastated by a Saudi-led intervention, which began in 2015 with the aim of expelling the Houthis.

    13:19 GMT

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered and oversaw the overnight strikes on dozens of Houthi-related targets in Yemen from a hospital bed “with a full suite of secure communications,” CNN has reported, citing an anonymous senior Pentagon official. The American defense chief was hospitalized on January 1 for complications after prostate cancer surgery, keeping President Joe Biden and Congress in the dark about his condition for days.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the US and UK of trying to turn the Red Sea into a “sea of blood” with their disproportionate strikes on Yemen. The Houthi fighters are mounting a “successful defense, response” against those attacks, Erdogan also said, newspaper Daily Sabah reported.

The Houthis earlier announced that five people were killed and six others wounded in an aerial assault by the two Western nations. Despite the losses, they vowed to continue targeting commercial vessels off Yemen’s coast, which they’ve been doing for more than two months now, in response to the Israeli military operation in Gaza.

  • 11:04 GMT

The German Foreign Ministry has claimed that the airstrikes on Yemen by the US and UK were “consistent with the UN Charter” and aimed at preventing further attacks by the Houthis against Israeli-bound ships.

“Our aim remains to de-escalate tensions and restore stability in the Red Sea, but let our message be clear: we will not hesitate to defend lives and protect the free flow of commerce in one of the world’s most critical waterways in the face of continued threats,” the ministry said in a statement.

  • 10:50 GMT

Russia condemns the “illegitimate” airstrikes on Yemen by the US and UK, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has said. He stressed that the UN Security Council Resolution, which had been adopted on Thursday and called on the Houthis to stop targeting Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea, didn’t give Washington and London the right to carry out the attack. Russia abstained during the vote on the document, Peskov reminded reporters.

The US and UK “tried to bring their actions under an international legal framework, but they failed. From the point of view of the international law, these strikes are illegitimate,” the spokesman stressed.

As for the Houthi attack on commercial vessels, Moscow “repeatedly called on them to abandon this practice and consider[s] it unlawful,” Peskov said.

  • 10:12 GMT

Paris believes the Houthis “bear the extremely serious responsibility” for the escalation in the Red Sea, the French Foreign Ministry said, following the US and UK airstrikes on Yemen.

“France renews its condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Houthis in the Red Sea against commercial vessels which violate navigation rights and freedoms and demands that the Houthis put an end to them immediately,” the ministry said in a statement.

  • 09:27 GMT

The UK isn’t planning more strikes against Houthi fighters in Yemen at the moment, British Armed Forces Minister James Heappey has told the BBC. When asked about possible further sorties, Heappey replied that “there are none immediately planned, and that’s an important point.”

The American and British air attacks on Yemen overnight were “a limited, proportionate, necessary response” to actions by the Houthis, who targeted Israeli-bound vessels in the Red Sea, the minister said.

  • 09:12 GMT

Following the American strikes on Yemen, which were carried out without congressional approval, social media users have been sharing a previous post from US President Joe Biden on X (formerly Twitter), in which he attacked Donald Trump for a similar move.

The message in question was published on January 6, 2020, a few days after top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

“Trump does not have the authority to take us into war with Iran without Congressional approval. A president should never take this nation to war without the informed consent of the American people,” Biden insisted at the time.

Republican and Democratic lawmakers have criticized the attacks against the Houthis in Yemen, arguing that the president violated the US Constitution by ordering them unilaterally.

  • 09:02 GMT

Five people have been killed and six others wounded as the US and UK targeted five regions of Yemen with 73 strikes overnight, Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree has said in a video-address.

“The American and British enemy bears full responsibility for its criminal aggression against our Yemeni people, and it will not go unanswered and unpunished,” he insisted.

Saree also warned that “the Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to target sources of threat and all hostile targets on land and at sea in defense of Yemen, its sovereignty and independence.”

  • 08:25 GMT

There has been a mixed reaction from lawmakers in Washington following a series of retaliatory strikes by the US and UK on Houthi targets in Yemen, with some questioning whether President Joe Biden had the authority to approve the military action. However, many backed the use of force, saying it was the responsibility of the administration to unblock shipping routes and protect US troops in the region.

Beijing is “concerned about the escalation of tensions in the Red Sea,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning has said, following the US and UK airstrikes in Yemen. “We urge the relevant parties to keep calm and exercise restraint, to prevent the conflict from expanding,” Mao stressed.

Chile Copper Strike Highlights Volatility of Green Economy

Chile Copper Strike Highlights Volatility of Green Economy

Gabrielle Reyes

Workers for CODELCO, Chile’s state-run mining company and the largest copper producer in the world, launched a nationwide strike on Wednesday to protest plans to shut down a foundry employing 350 people.

While the strike ended on Thursday, it threatened to cost CODELCO $20 million a day and highlighted the volatility of the copper industry, which is vital to electric vehicle manufacture and thus a staple of a “green economy” promoted by leftist and communist governments including that of China, which is the number one importer of Chilean copper.

“Police said they arrested 18 people as striking workers, waving Chilean flags and setting tires on fire, blocked entry to six mining facilities around the country. They did this mainly at the Ventanas foundry, which the government announced last week that it would shut down,” Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on June 23.

“Union leaders said the strike had paralyzed Codelco altogether but [Chile] Finance Minister Mario Marcel said it had ‘altered’ production but not shut it down,” AFP relayed.

Hundreds Of Thousands To Go On Four-Day Nationwide Strike Over Vaccine Mandates

Hundreds Of Thousands To Go On Four-Day Nationwide Strike Over Vaccine Mandates

by Tyler Durden
Monday, Nov 08, 2021 - 03:26 PM

Authored by Enrico Trigoso via The Epoch Times,

A massive, nationwide strike against vaccine mandates will take place from Nov. 8 to Nov. 11, according to the main organizer for the walkout, Leigh Dundas, a human rights attorney and public speaker.

he event will kick off in Los Angeles on Monday. The locations of the marches have not yet been disclosed.

The walkouts involve people from various industries such as trucking and telecom. Air and rail transport workers are not federally allowed to go on strike due to a law passed in 1926 named the Railway Labor Act, but some plan to protest anonymously.

“The Golden Gate Bridge Rally is going to be an epic and unprecedented moment in time. It will mark—on Veterans’ Day evening—a 4-day Nationwide walkout, by rank and file workers everywhere, from blue-collar to white-collar, black, white, yellow, red, every faith, every creed, who are uniquely united despite their differences on one common truth: that vaccine mandates have no place in a truly free society,” Dundas told The Epoch Times.

“Every group: anti-vaccine, BLM, gay, straight, Jewish, Muslim, Native American, Asian, Latino, Christian, atheist—all groups—are coming together for this one historic moment in time—to trumpet not just to our own government, but indeed to the watching eyes of the world, that vaccine mandates will no longer be tolerated. That in this country, WE are the government, because our founding fathers knew this truth: a truly free nation is a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people. That we are the leaders we have been waiting for. And that today marks the day that we retire vaccine mandates as a concept that cannot live in a free society, and that we are, indeed, simply that: a free society.”

Leigh Dundas (Photo provided by Nationwide Walkout to The Epoch Times)

The Epoch Times talked to some of these frustrated workers who will participate in the strike to see why they are doing it.

‘I Choose God’s Immunity’

Kristen Grace has been a Raytheon Systems Engineer for 18 years.

“I will lose my livelihood on December 8, because I won’t allow an experimental gene therapy to be injected into my bloodstream. I’ve recovered from COVID, and I work from home, but the government has claimed authority over my body and medical choices. I choose natural (God’s) immunity over government,” Grace said.

Brandon Childs has been serving for 7 years in the Air Force, 5 years in active duty and 2 years with the Arizona Air National Guard (ANG).

“I have stepped away from being ANG full time due to the mandate and I was promised by my civilian job that they would never require the vaccine.

“However as an army contractor that changed within the last month. I’ve lost 3 family members in the last year one being my father a week ago. I’ve put in RE’s [religious exemptions] at both and was told that the chances of being accepted are extremely dismal and I will face what looks like a general or dishonorable discharge (with a clean military record) from one and termination for the other. Affecting the benefits I have worked for and bled for the country I love.”

Another systems engineer that has been working for Raytheon for 25 years told The Epoch Times: “I’ve submitted a Notification of Religious Accommodation. If it’s not approved, I’ll be fired on December 8th because I’m not going to violate my beliefs or surrender my Constitutional rights for a job. Honestly, this is the most stressful year of my professional life. I’ve lost many nights of sleep. Even if approved I’ll likely continue to look for a new job.

“I feel betrayed by a company I’ve given my best years. They could have stood up for us but they put profits and the ‘woke’ agenda first. I’m surrounded by fully vaccinated people with new and mysterious health issues, many have gotten COVID, but I’m treated like someone unclean, less than. Science, logic, and common sense have been tossed in the COVID dumpster fire. While I love my country, I’m ashamed of my company and my government. The only good news is that even the fully vaccinated now realize the promise of normality was all a lie. Now they are once again masked and being told boosters will be mandatory. And they are now rising up too,” the engineer said.

Health Information Privacy

Christopher Burns, an attorney that works in Portsmouth New Hampshire, said: “For the first time in the history of the country the president and an entire political party seem to think it’s constitutionally appropriate to dictate to a private employer how to treat its private employees by requiring the employer to demand privately protected health information from the employee.”

Jet, a Honeywell employee, feels disappointed and is depressed about his company mandating the vaccine, which he is determined not to take due to his religious beliefs.

“I have so many feelings about this situation that it has gotten me into a state of depression. Never in a million years [had] I imagined that something like this would happen in the United States. This is what tyranny looks like and it’s not going to stop here. Equally disappointing is to see that Honeywell, along with the rest of major U.S. corporations have decided to go along and enable tyranny. I’m not getting the vaccine. I have applied for a religious exemption. If not granted, so be it. Because of this mandate, we’re now going to be treated as second-class citizens. In case people have forgotten, this is the definition of tyranny: cruel and unfair treatment by people with power over others.”

A consultant for Thomson Reuters who does not even work physically at the company is bewildered at why he should take the vaccine.

“I have been working [for Reuters for] 13 years and at least 3 consultants are 100 percent remote, 2,000 miles away from the office! They say because the company has government contracts that means I have to abide by the mandate too.

“How am I endangering anybody from my home?” the consultant asked.

John Knox is part of the LA Firefighters for Freedom.

“We are fighting against these unconstitutional mandates because anything that is repugnant to the constitution is illegal. These mandates clearly step outside the constitutional parameters. As firefighters and first responders we need to take a stand and we need to let the rest of America know we will fight and they can join us,” Knox said.

‘It Is Against Our Rights as Americans’

A Maine 3rd Grade School teacher thinks the COVID vaccines should not be mandated.

“People have the right to make the choices that work best for their families and for themselves. I feel it is against our rights as Americans. Why are we dying on this sword?” the teacher asked.

Amtrak’s vaccine mandate deadline is also on Dec 8, an employee told The Epoch Times about her situation under the condition of anonymity.

“Employees with religious exemptions are either 1. Denied with no explanation, or 2. ‘Approved’ for unpaid ‘personal leave,’ and not allowed to seek other work while on involuntary ‘personal leave.’  This ‘accommodation’ is exceptionally harsh and retaliatory, considering that medical exemption employees are permitted to continue work with weekly testing, including full customer contact workers such as conductors,” she said.

“Any employee not in compliance with the vax mandate will be charged with insubordination and terminated, per Amtrak repeated internal announcements.”

Eric Mallow, a railroader, said: “The longer we comply with their tyranny, the worse this will get! We were absolutely essential last year and now we are completely expendable. Standing up for the rights of Americans far outweighs the difficulty of leaving a company that sees me as an insignificant number.”

A secretary from Arizona told The Epoch Times that the mandates are a “total violation” of her freedom.

“Where does this end?  If they can force vaccines in our bodies and violate our will that way, where is the line drawn?  We need to fight back and not allow this,” the secretary said.

The Epoch Times reached out to Amtrak and Raytheon for comment.
