Wheels Come Off For Bus Companies, Closing Down Travel Options For Poor Americans

The wheels on the nation's buses aren't going round and round very much these days according to MPRnews, which notes that demand for bus travel has fallen by more than 80 percent during the pandemic, as public health authorities urge people to avoid travel where possible. That is raising concerns about the potential long-term damage to an essential transport method for millions of lower-income Americans even as air travel has shown signs of picking up since the Thanksgiving holiday period.

And those who have to take the bus, for whatever reason, are finding fewer options, and often higher prices as a result.

Feeling the pinch most are people like Andrew Sarkis. He paid $97 for a one-way bus ticket from Hampton, Va., to New York City, a 12-hour journey that required two transfers.

"It's expensive, man," said Sarkis, while stretching his legs after his bus took a brief stop at Union Station in Washington, D.C. "I used to go on another bus for $45 a trip, that goes straight to New York," he added.

New Orleans Mayor Issues Coronavirus Order Allowing Ban on Sale, Transportation of Firearms

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell (D) signed a coronavirus emergency order last week allowing her to ban the sale and transportation of firearms.

She signed a follow-up proclamation on March 16, 2020, further emphasizing her emergency powers to “suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation, of alcoholic beverages.”
The declaration declaring the mayor’s power to restrict gun sales and transportation says she is “empowered, if necessary, to suspend or limit the sale of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives, and combustibles.”

Police are secretly using 'VACCINE' to spy on community events, public transportation etc., Part 3

 'Visual Analytics for Command, Control and Interoperability Environments (VACCINE) is co-led by Purdue and Rutgers University. The above video reveals how eager university professors and students are to help DHS spy on Americans.

Just like 'STINGRAY', police and Fusion Centers are secretly using VACCINE to spy on Americans.

"In 2012, VACCINE entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Ohio Fusion Center, managed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) and Ohio Homeland Security."

Keeping VACCINE a secret is what police and Fusion Center spying is all about. Check out the excerpt from page 26 of VACCINE's 2013 Annual Report.

"VACCINE has a well-established process for entering into Memorandums of Understanding and Non-Disclosure Agreements to ensure protection of the parties and data involved."

DHS is running a non-profit to spy on Americans.

"The basic structure is through the establishment of a non-profit Limited Liability Corporation (VACCINE LLC) which is managed by the Purdue Research Foundation and overseen by VACCINE."

DHS and Purdue university have also created the "Visual Law Enforcement Toolkit" (VALET) which allows cops and Fusion Centers to spy on an the entire population.

"VALET provides law enforcement agencies with a suite of analytical tools coupled with an interactive visual interface for data exploration and analysis, forecasting, planning, and management. This system includes linked views and interactive displays that spatiotemporally model criminal, traffic and civil (CTC) incidents and allows officials to observe patterns and quickly identify regions with higher probabilities of activity."

VALET helps cops spy on community events and public transportation.

• Identify crime hotspots and anomalies.
• Analyze trends and patterns in criminal activity through time (by day, week, month or year).
• Forecast crime hotspots to assist in the development of preventive measures and in resource planning and allocation.
• Identify potential correlations among multiple datasets (for example, census data, daily weather reports, bus routes, zoning tracts, and community events calendars) against criminal, traffic and civil incident data.

VALET can also be used to spy on social media, public transportation etc.

DHS is using eight more programs called GeoVISTA, CrimeViz, SensePlace2, Jigsaw, GARI MERGE, cgSARVA and Scatterblog to spy on Americans.

"Scatterblog is a social media analysis tool which looks at real time twitter information to monitor and detect any anomalies for the purpose of alerting first responders."

 

"Recent advances in technology have enabled social media services to support space-time indexed data, and internet users from all over the world have created a large volume of time-stamped, geo-located data. Such spatiotemporal data has immense value for increasing situational awareness of local events...."

In other words police are using 'Scatterblog' to spy on people at large events and on public transportation.

Universities are more than willing to accept DHS grant money and are instrumental in devising new ways to track our every movement.

 

"Broad network of schools: partners with 27 universities both domestic and international aimed at turning massive data into actionable knowledge through innovative visual analytics techniques."

Companies have to be invited by DHS to spy on Americans.

 

Below is an excerpt taken from the 'VACCINE Corporate Development' section on pages 26 & 27.

 

"Membership in the VACCINE, LLC is by invitation only. Member companies need to be complementary as opposed to competitive in nature."

 

In other words, companies have to be willing to work together to spy on everyone!

According to VACCINE's Corporate Visionary Partner Program, corporations must contribute $50,000 a year and are asked to recruit VACCINE students.

 

"Recruit VACCINE students. Our students are our most valuable assets. They add substantial value to any company as interns or employees."

 

Also, there are seventeen corporations and thirty-three gov't partners working with DHS to make VACCINE a reality.

 

Four corporations and one gov't partner in particular, will have you scratching your head. They are, a pet hospital, a video card manufacturer, a card company, a personal hygene & health care corporation and a native American Indian nation.

• Hallmark
• Kimberly Clark
• Navajo Nation

What this really means, is every time you bring your pet to the veterinarian, play a video game, purchase a birthday card, blow your nose or wipe your privates, you're supporting gov't spying.

I'm at loss to explain Navajo Nation, maybe they think DHS will only use VACCINE to spy on the border?

Unfortunately, the public will never know what spying programs these companies are working on.

"VACCINE is very interested in developing research projects under confidential contractual arrangements."

Right about now you're probably thinking, it can't get any worse. But you'd be wrong, because amazingly the Boy Scouts of America are working with VACCINE.

"VACCINE continued to build our multi-agency public safety consortium with organizations beyond the borders of Indiana; we developed new relationships with organizations such as the Illinois State Police, the Cook County Sherriff’s Department, the NYPD, Morgan State University, the Stevens Institute, Sejong University, and the Boy Scouts of America." (page 5)

So there you have it, VACCINE is a conglomerate of DHS, universities, private corporations, the Boy Scouts and a native American Indian nation working together to spy on us.

This is the sad reality of police state America, where even the Boy Scouts are spying on us.

All day long we have to hear about how there is no money, how the roads are in disrepair, that their is too much congestion.

California is the highest taxed state AND the most populous. That means this state collects far more taxes then any other state yet we are constantly in this huge hole. Money never has been and never will be the problem. There’s plenty of it. The problem is you guys waste money like it’s nothing. Over at SANBAG they spent 10’s of thousands of dollars building walls, desks, hiring security, and installing metal detectors because 1 woman started coming around.

You claim there is no money but SCAG wants to install the most expensive toll lanes ever in the history of this country.

We have no money but SCAG wants to spend 500 billion dollars thats half a trillion dollars to implement their regional transportation plan.

All of these problems that you claim we have are manufactured.

We are told there is too much traffic.

We have to much traffic because the people who run this state have allowed millions of people to come into this country from all over the world unimpeded. Millions. There are millions of extra people on our roads, clogging up our freeways and contributing to the wear and tear of the roads.

We are told there is not enough money from the gas tax.

The reason why there isn’t enough money in the gas tax because our state gives healthcare, education, welfare, and all kinds of other freebies to illegal aliens.

Deport illegal aliens and there will be far less people on the road and we’ll have all kinds of extra money because we won’t have to pay for their crap anymore.

So as a result of California’s failed policies or successful depending on what side of the war you are on. We are now told that we need VMT.

We are fed this lie that somehow we will pay less if the gas tax is eliminated and we get tracked and taxed for every mile we drive. You are saying there’s not enough coming in so why would you suddenly change the system so that you collect less money. Just one of many lies.

You guys lie to us and say you are doing everything that you are doing so that we can have more options as if you are doing us a favor. Did I mention that you people are waging a war against us? You aren’t doing any of us any favors.

Let me tell you something, the truth is the state of California is going to re-attempt to pass the gasoline rationing that was contained in Senate Bill 350. If you reduce our gas by 50% there won’t be driving for most people in this state.

So you aren’t putting bikes, trains, and buses everywhere because you are doing us a favor. You are doing it because you are trying to take our gas away. This is no different then the state trying to ban ammunition. A gun is worthless without bullets and a car is worthless without gas.

We see through your agenda and it is so easy to poke holes into it.

Constantly I see government employees and bureaucrats who say what’s wrong with regional government when we are protesting it as if it’s actually a good thing. Well, there is a lot wrong with it. First and foremost it’s unconstitutional.

Second, this whole SCAG regional transportation process proves why regionalism is terrible

for this country.

An associate of mine and I discussed sitting down and reading the thousands of pages that are in the Scag Regional Transportation Plan and the EIR document. Making notes and eventually publishing a report refuting the plan. Unfortunately we have less then 2 months from the start and didn’t discuss this until about a week ago.

Here’s why regionalism is bad. The whole idea of reading the documents and publishing the report are not even possible given the time constraints. Secondly, even if we were able to get the report complete we would then have go to 191 elected representatives in 191 different cities and try to convince them to side with us on the vote. 191 people. And we only have 2 months to do all of this.

We advocate for localism and local government. If the same thing were happening in a local city we would only have to convince 3 people to agree with us on the plan. That’s 3 vs. 191.

That example that I just read is the very reason why this regionalism has to stop. It completely shuts we the people out of the process.
